THE BIGGEST BOXING EVENT OF 2021 IN BANGLADESH: GENESIS FIGHT NIGHT

Unlike other popular sports like cricket and football in Bangladesh, boxing isn’t really a sporting event that creates the type of hype that we would see in other countries. This is because people feel that we don’t really have superstars of this sport like Shakib Al Hasan or Tamim Iqbal from Bangladesh Cricket Team. To clear this misconception, XCEL sports management and promotion hosted the biggest boxing event of Bangladesh in 2021: Genesis Fight Night.

Genesis Fight Night was an iconic event, one that was never seen before like any other. 6 of the very best boxers from all around the country participated to prove their might and what the audience witnessed was no less than a cricketing event. President of XCEL, Adnan Haroon made sure that the event was wholesome like other world wide recognized events and nothing was left out. Other than gathering the biggest boxers of the country, he got Bangladesh Boxing Federation involved in this event along with all their jurisdictions and protocols.

The boxers were categorized in 3 weights: Bantamweight, Lightweight & Welterweight. Each weight had one individual match leading up to 3 matches for the entire event. Each fighters fought 3 rounds against their corresponding weights to become the ultimate boxer of their respective weights. The blows that they exchanged echoed around the entire courtyard. 

The event took place in Chef’s Table Courtside, with an over populated audience of 5000. Black Zang provided the official music for the event whereas Bongo streamed the entire event live on their platform. Other VIP partners of the event included Prime Bank, Securex, Apex Lingerie Ltd, SSSteel and Green Delta Insurance.

It was truly an event like never before seen on the soil of this country.
